You are sick because you lack enough drugs

Last night I was watching a little TV when a commercial caught my attention. Normally, I don't watch too many commercials as I usually have shows taped and can fast forward through them with the DVR. The DVR is truly a wonderful thing.

Back to the commercial. It was about asthma. I hear a woman say "It kept reoccuring", then a man stated "I've tried everything but it just kept coming back". Now, I glance up at the TV to hear the advertisers answer to this mysterious ailment. "The problem was that I wasn't treating both of my symptoms!"

Symptoms!!! What a concept. These poor people kept suffering from asthma because they lacked enough drugs to treat the symptoms. What about treating the root cause of the problem?
